Social Class Structures in 19th Century France: Impacted by Science and Technology After the introduction of new science and technology in France, a transformation of the social class structure of the 19th century occurred. The idea that this novel science and technology made a significant impact, the cause for the transformation, on social class structures after the Industrial Revolution in France is debatable. The mere thought that science and technology having any negative impact would be harsh criticism of today’s 21st century thinking.
